For many, yoga is a way to unwind, connect with themselves, and find balance. While adults have readier access to the benefits of a regular yoga practice, children and teens are often overlooked (even though they can benefit just as much as adults can!). 

It can be tough being a child–every adult knows more than they do, most choices are made for them, and emotions can feel so big that they’re hard to understand sometimes.  

Teens are going through a unique (and awkward!) phase of life.  Stress is everywhere–from school, peers, substance use, self-esteem issues, puberty, social media, etc, all while trying to figure out what being a person means to them.   

Learning how to manage stress, stay healthy, and find a balance in life can be an empowering thing for children and teenagers to experience.  

Kristin’s classes will focus on co-creating a safe and calming place where students can be creative, be challenged, and discover what balance is all about.

Your Child will learn to

  • Self-emotional regulation and cope with stress

In this series, students will collaborate with Kristin to discover what self-regulation means for them.  Stillness and quiet won't be forced or expected and trust will be cultivated by listening, adjusting, and following the energy of the room.    

These classes incorporate a variety of yoga and mindfulness techniques including movement, breath work, grounding exercises and guided meditation techniques for reducing stress & anxiety, and achieving deep relaxation & inner calm – physically, emotionally and mentally. 

The Details: 

  • The series includes 5 40-minute classes for $300 

  • Class are in-person at MindTree Wellness Studio

  • Participants can bring along a friend or sibling for a 5% discount
